Okay.....I'm trying really hard not to laugh [snicker] but failing. I know when you're in the middle of it, it seems so overwhelming. I'm remembering back to "the days" when I had two children, and then two a year apart. The one a year old walked early, but in his own direction, thus he had to ride on my hip, with the infant on the other hip. Then there was the winter when one got the mumps, the next got Scarlet Fever, the next got a mump, and the fourth got a little sore in the neck [age 2 version of mumps}---and then I got a mump. I never saw the light of day outside our apartment literally for 3 months. But during that time the 5 year old learned to read and a number of other things. All was not lost. I loved those days. I was so all-fired strict with scheduling back then. And when we had #5 I could care less when he nursed, slept, ate, or anything else. If he wanted a tuna sammich for breakfast, well, hey, whatha heck! After the first two, I also relaxed about potty training. Whenever they "decided" to was fine. I didn't even try. I just noticed that I wasn't seeing any kindergartners wearing diapers, so I knew it would happen naturally eventually. It was so much better when I relaxed more. I hope you are enjoying these times and able to find the humor. They are so precious and fleeting. Good to hear from you!----Linda
