So this is what it feels like to be in the tropics!

I can't believe it's been an entire month since I blogged last. Where has the time gone!? Now that I've lost all my readers...as though I had any to begin with...I will now continue...

Yesterday, the temperature got to 106 degrees officially. It was so humid that I was dripping as soon as I walked outside. To make matters worse, we had a softball game at 4 in the afternoon. It had to have been over 120 degrees on the field. And yet, I still had a lot of fun playing. I'm sure it's been this hot here before...I just don't remember it. Thank God for air conditioned homes and enough energy to power them.

Today, we had what I call a freak storm blow through. Thunder, lightning and a 30 minute downpour in the morning. Then nice blue skies in the afternoon. Still hot and humid through it all, just like in the tropics...or in Tennessee in August. Right now, at 10:30PM, the weather channel shows it to be 79 degrees (or feels like 82 degrees).
